Great Valley Community Organization (GVCO)

The Great Valley Community Organization was formed 24 years ago as a youth sports organization.  How they have grown!  Today, GVCO serves hundreds, from youth to seniors, and in activities as varied as pickleball and ESL.  Some unique current activities include Challenger Gym, an adaptive recreational gym program for children with special needs, and GVCO Caring Hands, an innovative volunteer program that empowers middle and high school students to support their community.

And they continue to expand programming to better serve the community.  One proposal is to have a walking club; of course, Walkable Willistown was eager to support that idea!  Ironically, the GVCO complex is within ¼ mile of the Chester Valley Trail, yet there is no safe way to access the trail from GVCO-sound familiar?

Over 5,500 families have participated in the organization’s activities and more than a third of the school district’s elementary students currently take part in GVCO’s youth sports offerings. What a great organization to have in our backyard!
