South Valley Road – Success!
Have you ever wondered whether reaching out to Willistown Township can lead to real, positive change? Yes, it can.
After a Walkable Willistown member raised concerns about limited visibility when crossing South Valley Road to access Fox Hollow Trail, the Township took action. Trees and brush were cleared, improving visibility for pedestrians crossing South Valley Road and making it easier to see oncoming traffic.
A special thank you to Traffic Safety Officer Lou Bills of the Willistown Township Police Department and Willistown Township Supervisor Matt McCarry for listening, responding, and helping to make this improvement happen. It’s a great example of residents and local government working together to make our community a little safer – one improvement at a time.
We hope these before and after photos encourage others to share concerns or ideas that can make walking in Willistown safer for everyone!

Circulation Study Update
The consultant, Bowman Engineering, continues to analyze the data from the online survey and two public workshops, and the report is targeted for completion in September. The Steering Committee is meeting with the consultant in late July to ensure alignment. Stay tuned for more news.
Willistown Rural Character
We love the rural nature of parts of Willistown! That is why we have recommended that sidewalks be built in the more developed portions of the township. Take a look at the attached map and let us know what you think!
